The Liberated Cook Book Club is a community for cooking enthusiasts and anyone looking to deepen their relationship with food. We explore whole-food, plant-forward recipes and their health benefits - all in a fun, supportive environment.

Whether you have been cooking for years or just getting started, you will build confidence in the kitchen by trying new recipes, using unique ingredients, and practicing techniques. My goal is to teach, support, and guide you in experiencing food and cooking through health supportive and holistic lens. We will incorporate discussion about our own “food stories” and the mental, emotional, physical, and social connection to how we eat.

We will share our experience and the wins, even the imperfect small ones, during weekly group calls bringing it all full circle. I will lead these calls sharing knowledge and insight from my time as an integrative health/nutrition coach and professional plant-based cook.

Over the course of 6 weeks, we will explore an intentionally chosen cookbook together from which I will give "assignments" and additional information. There will be a Zoom call each week focusing on education, Q&A, and discussion.  â€‹

I don’t want to go vegan though, should I still join?

That's a fair question - and here's the answer... this group isn’t about turning you vegan. Not even close!

My goal is simple: to help you add more color, variety, and plants to your meals in a way that feels natural, enjoyable, and empowering. Think of this club as a space to explore - not a place for pressure or judgment. Yes, there’s always debate around whether a fully plant-based diet is the healthiest choice. But the thing everyone can agree on is that eating more vegetables is good for you. Period!

Let’s talk about one surprising stat...

A large study found that replacing just 3% of animal protein with plant protein was associated with a significant reaction in the risk of chronic diseases. It’s a small shift that can make a real impact over time.

And now, let’s address the F-word - fiber...

Many of us are focused on getting enough protein, but fiber deficiency is actually a much bigger concern - especially in the U.S. Only about 5% of Americans meet the recommended daily intake of fiber. That’s a problem because adequate fiber supports healthy digestion, lower risk of heart disease and stroke, better weight management, and reduced risk of type 2 diabetes and certain cancers.

The benefits are real - and the good news is, you don’t have to overhaul your entire lifestyle to start seeing them. This group is about making realistic, positive changes. So no you don’t need to “go vegan”. You just need to be open and curious about exploring more plants on your plate!
